Dear Brooklyn Tech Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We’re so happy to welcome our new families to the Brooklyn Tech community and to say welcome back to our returning families. We hope everyone had a wonderful summer and that your students are settling into the new school year.
As a Brooklyn Tech parent or guardian, you are automatically a member of the Parents Association (PA), and we hope you’ll stay connected and get involved throughout the year. Take a moment to get to know your PA Executive Board. We’re fellow Brooklyn Tech parents; we’re here to support our families, and we look forward to working together to make this a great year for our school community.

Our suggested amount for your gift is $750 per student. We recognize that $750 may be an easy gift for some, a stretch for many, and a real economic hardship for others. We ask that each family give whatever they are able to. Any amount counts, and every donation matters! We greatly appreciate your gift and your participation is truly important.
Matching Gifts: Another way to increase your donation to our PA is through your company’s Matching Gift program. Please contact your Human Resource department to see if your company offers matching gifts.

Supporting Student Wellness at Brooklyn Tech
Brooklyn Tech is a rigorous and demanding school, and helping students develop healthy ways to manage stress is an important part of supporting their overall success.
This year, Brooklyn Tech is partnering with Whole School Mindfulness on a new student wellness initiative. As part of Health classes, teachers will introduce brief 1–3 minute activities designed to help students manage stress, refocus, and develop practical coping strategies they can use throughout the school day.
Our school social worker, who will also serve as Brooklyn Tech’s Mindfulness Director, has created DonorsChoose projects to provide Health classrooms with simple stress-management and wellness tools, including stress balls, breathing tools, and other resources.
These activities and materials are intended to complement Health instruction and existing student support services, while giving students additional strategies for managing the pressures of a demanding school environment.
With approximately 1,500 students taking Health classes, your support can help make these resources available to more Tech students.
